Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Watch on Y App (“the app,” “we,” or “us”) accesses, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Watch on Y Application for Rabbit R1. Watch on Y App uses YouTube API Services.
1. Information available without signing in
You can browse public YouTube videos and use public video search without connecting a Google account. For these features, Watch on Y App receives public YouTube API data such as video IDs, titles, channel names, thumbnails, publication dates, durations, and view counts.
2. Google and YouTube account data
If you choose to connect your Google account, Watch on Y App requests read-only YouTube access. This permission may allow Watch on Y App to retrieve and display:
- Your YouTube subscriptions and subscribed channel identifiers.
- Your YouTube playlists and the videos contained in playlists available to the authorized account.
- Video, channel, and playlist metadata needed to display those features.
Watch on Y App does not request your Google password. Authentication is completed through Google’s device authorization process. Watch on Y App does not use this permission to upload, edit, rate, comment on, or delete YouTube content.
3. How information is used
Google user data is used only to provide the user-facing features you request, including displaying your subscriptions, subscription-based video feeds, and playlists within Watch on Y App. We do not use Google user data for advertising, credit decisions, surveillance, or building profiles unrelated to these features.
4. Storage and retention
The app stores an opaque Watch on Y App session identifier on the device so you can remain signed in. Google OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored in the app’s Cloudflare-hosted backend session storage. Authentication session records may be retained for up to 30 days unless you log out, revoke access, or request deletion sooner.
Watch on Y App generally retrieves YouTube subscription, playlist, channel, and video data on demand for display. It is not intended to create a permanent independent archive of your YouTube account data.
5. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell Google user data. Information is transmitted to service providers only as necessary to operate Watch on Y App:
- Google and YouTube, to authenticate your account, retrieve YouTube API data, and play videos.
- Cloudflare, to host backend services and temporary authentication/session records.
- Rabbit, as the platform through which the application is distributed and run.
Data may also be disclosed when required by law or when reasonably necessary to investigate security abuse.
6. Your choices and control
- You may use public browsing without connecting a Google account.
- You may select Logout in Watch on Y App to delete the app’s active backend session.
- You may revoke Watch on Y App’s Google access from your Google account permissions.
- You may request deletion of data associated with Watch on Y App by following the instructions on our Data Deletion page.
Deleting data stored by Watch on Y App does not delete subscriptions, playlists, videos, or other information stored by YouTube. To change or delete content stored by YouTube, use YouTube or another authorized YouTube client that supports those actions.
7. Deletion following revocation
When you log out or request deletion, Watch on Y App will delete its stored session and authorization records as soon as reasonably possible. When we learn that access has been revoked or authorization can no longer be refreshed, related stored YouTube API data and authorization records will be deleted as soon as possible and no later than seven calendar days.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect authentication records and limit access to the systems needed to operate the app. No online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Children
Watch on Y App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. YouTube and Google policies
By using features powered by YouTube, you are also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Watch on Y App’s features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are published.
